About Us

The Hoquiam Elks Lodge #1082 sits in a heritage building on K Street that stops strangers in their tracks. Visitors riding in from as far as Canada for the Ocean Shores Bike Rally have walked through the door simply because the architecture demanded a closer look, and they've stayed for the atmosphere. That's not an accident. That's 100-plus years of a community organization that actually shows up.

The interior tells the same story. The bar area has been freshly remodeled, the space is clean and well-kept, and the faces behind the counter are the same ones you see every week. Regulars know each other by name. First-timers get treated like they've been coming for years. Events cycle through constantly, from charity auctions hosted alongside local car clubs to social nights that draw a loyal crowd from across Grays Harbor County.

With a 4.5-star rating built on real visits from real people, Lodge #1082 is not coasting on tradition. It is actively earning its reputation, one event, one cold drink, and one good deed at a time.

What We Offer

Lodge #1082 keeps a full calendar so there is always a reason to come back. The remodeled bar anchors the social side of the Lodge, a comfortable spot to catch up with neighbors or meet someone new after a long week on the Harbor.

On the civic side, the Lodge regularly hosts charity auctions and fundraising events that bring together local clubs, car enthusiasts, and community supporters. Past events have drawn first-time visitors who left as converts. The event hall accommodates club meetings, private gatherings, and the kind of community functions that Hoquiam has counted on this Lodge to provide for generations.

Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks connects you to a national network while keeping your roots planted firmly at 624 K Street. Youth programs, veteran support initiatives, and community grants are part of what your dues fund every single year.

"I had the pleasure of a recent visit to this Lodge with a buddy. We were visiting from Canada for the Bike Rally at Ocean Shores. We were drawn in by the beautiful heritage building which serves as the Lodge. We were warmly welcomed, signed in as guests, and given a tour of this amazing historical building constructed circa 1905. We were even brought up to the top floor which, legend has it, is haunted. If you love interesting architecture, warm hospitality, a stiff drink and a good ghost story, you must drop by for a visit. The Hoquiam Elks are the salt of the earth and proof that America is already great! I didn’t take any photos of the main level, but I have included two pics from the haunted 3rd floor. Enjoy. Thanks again from your Canadian biker friends!"

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
